Although April so far has not had many spring days, they are coming. Along with our spring weather come the April showers and MUD!!!

It important that your dog is groomed for the season. The longer hairy beasts from over the winter are ready to get into a shorter trim for spring. We can work with you to create a trim that allows your dog to show their best style while being easy to maintain and quicker to dry. This time of year it is important to keep your dog in a regular grooming schedule, we can set up your next appointment before you leave our salon.
For our double coated clients you will find they are starting to blow coat. They will be losing coat all over your house, giving your vacuum a good workout. With our bathing system much of the coat will come out in the bath, then we dry them with our high velocity dryers to further remove loose coat, followed up with a thorough brushing out. We take care to not over brush and injure your dog's skin, if your dog's coat is not totally ready to blow out we will recommend visiting again in 4 to 6 weeks to repeat the process and remove the rest of the coat before the summer heat arrives.
Remember good coat care begins at home. It is important that your dog is brushed at home on a regular basis to remove excess coat and keep matts from forming. When a dog is maintained properly at home and come on a regular basis for grooming, every 4 to 6 weeks, they are more relaxed for the process and can generally get fluffier styles, rather then the "to the wood" style of grooming.
